For the first project of the semester we were tasked with creating a castle. Although I originally wanted to design and create my own castle, I decided it would be more fun/doable to recreate a cool place from my childhood; so for this project I decided to recreate Ganon's Tower from Ocarina of Time.
*this is the tower I based my model off of I had a hard time discerning all the exact details of the castle, but I attempted to reconstruct it faithfully based off of these two images. The castle was actually recreated in Ocarina of Time for the 3ds but I never played that version of the game (even though it does debatably have a cooler Ganon Tower). Anyways, After some messing around I was able to get an approximation I was happy with. Here are some photos from my attempt on recreating the castle. I wish I was able how to figure out the lighting/ground mapping but I'll have to save that for next time.

(the materials I selected for the metal were highly reflective metal and it ended up bouncing the orange sky off of the material pretty harshly, and I wasn't able to get it to show the true color but ultimately that doesn't bother me too much, still pretty happy with how it turned out.) Thanks for checking out my first post of OBDF 210!
That's sweet
